Online Access for Test Results

If you have signed up for our online patient access you can quickly and easily log in to our secure website to view your test results over a private and secure connection. Please email the practice administrator for details if you are interested.

Telephone Calls

In our efforts to serve our patients as efficiently as possible we have elected to use a remote telephone service during the day that takes your information and sends it directly to our office via a secure website. This allows us to answer calls much more quickly and eliminates the unfortunate necessity of placing callers on hold.

Where your physician is will determine where your call goes. In addition, depending on the nature of your call, or if your physician is in surgery or involved in one of the many emergency situations that occur throughout the day, it may be necessary for one of his partners to field your call. We appreciate your cooperation and patience on these occasions.

All calls that come into the office are triaged by our secretarial staff. At times it is necessary for the secretary to consult with one of our physicians or a member of our nursing staff in order to determine that a call is handled properly.

If your call is regarding an appointment or a similarly uncomplicated matter, any member of our clerical staff can assist you. However, if your call is of a more complex nature, we ask that you help us and yourself by contacting the same staff member each time. This will allow for continuity of care and will avoid further explanation on your part with each contact.

Our office receives more than 1,000 telephone calls every day. We make every effort to answer calls promptly, however, there are times when matters of a more urgent nature must be given priority. Your patience is appreciated.

Emergency Calls

If your call is of an emergent or urgent matter, please go to the nearest emergency room. The ER can contact your urologist to assist you with any emergent medical condition.

Appointments

Our clerical staff will be more than happy to make an appointment either in person or via telephone. Given the increasing size of our patient population, we ask that you schedule your appointment as soon as possible so that we may offer you a date and time that suits your needs.

The person assisting with scheduling your appointment will ask you several questions regarding your medical condition and your insurance and will gather other information in order to complete your appointment. Please have your insurance information available to expedite the process.

In some circumstances, particularly with surgery patients, our scheduling secretary will contact you regarding your appointment. In most situations, she is dealing with hospital or surgery center schedules as well as our own, which as you can imagine, can result in conflicts. This may delay a return phone call on her part. We appreciate your understanding.

All of our clients' insurance benefits are verified prior to their office visits. This is important in order to inform you about services covered by your insurance.
